Inspiration from a young "TRUE" Diva

Divas can be small in size, and giant in stature. Two of the core values of Dishing with the Diva are Community and Friendship, and both of these values were evidenced by Hannah McKellar and her lemonade stand. A young Michigan resident, Hannah learned that many children who receive meals at school throughout the year are often without enough nourishment during summer vacation months, and took it upon herself to lend support to the Gleaners Community Food Bank's "Hunger Free Summer" program. Gleaners proudly acknowledged Hannah in an August 19th post:

Hannah McKellar has just ended her second annual Hunger Hero Lemonade stand. Her goal was to match last year's total of 600 meals. Did she make it? We'd say so... This year she raised $175 AND she found a local business to match her donation! So, with her $350 donation and the Charter OneHunger Free Summer match, Hannah has helped provide 2,100 meals for her hungry peers. Thank you for your dedication Hannah! You truly are a #HungerHero.

"True" Diva Form is shown when a woman...

Clearly young Hannah McKellar is a "true" Diva, and a beautiful example for all of the Divas out there. We are celebrating Hannah in the Diva kitchen with some fresh squeezed lemonade and a donation to our local food bank. Whenever you pick up a cool glass of lemonade, let it remind you that there is no age limit on making the world a healthier and happier place.

Cheers!

Diva
